Clarke & Dawe are able
to offer a bespoke tailoring service. Each Clarke & Dawe
suit is tailoried in the West Riding of Yorkshire workroom by time-served
cutters and seamstresses. The wool used in certain ranges of suitings
are from the Australian Merino sheep, renowned for generations
for its durability and warmth. The linings, interlinings, threads, pocket
bags, waist bandings, shoulder padding and buttons are all chosen to
complement the suitings.
You simply pick the cloth and
style details that you wish to have on your suit. You are then measured
so the suit will fit perfectly.
The well-cut jackets have four
functional cuffs and edge stitching whilst the inside lining (to match
or contrast the suiting) is jetted and frogged. The lapel buttonhole
is also functional. Trousers can have a plain or fishtail back and are,
of course, half-lined.
An extensive range of pin stripes
(continuous and broken), chalk stripes (bold and feint), shadow stripes,
corded stripes, Prince of Wales' checks, houndstooth checks, herringbones
and flannels are available for consideration in the quiet ambience of,
Clarke & Dawe.
